I have been drawing and painting since a boy but all of my previous work has been lost
Since retirement I have been focused on improving my painting skill and developing a portfolio I've got a ways to go yet...
I sketch in pencil and pastels a little
but most of my work is in acrylics on canvas
Just recently I have started working in oils but the bloody stuff won't dry quickly enough!
I tend to use my own photographs for subject matter and to help in composition, often using Photoshop to create a collage to begin a work. But I do not strive for realism in my art, preferring to create my own reality within the work.
