Meet the Singers
Thom BarkesThom grew up in a house full of music. He played and sang all through Jr. and Sr. High school years, and then on to music school after graduation. He lived in many different places and played in many different bands throughout his adult years, perfecting his harmony singing skills and his instrument playing skills. In 2014, Thom and his partner moved to Port Townsend and found a very large and diverse musical community, including maritime music. He joined Quimper’s Watch in 2024.

Christopher GilbertChristopher splits his time between Port Townsend and Gloucestershire, England. He was born in the East End of London and often lets his Cockney accent shine through. He cut his “folk-teeth” on the traditional English pursuit of Morris Dancing and learned to sing folk songs the hard way - in front of rough-and-tumble British pub audiences and folk clubs.

Brian LedfordBrian, like many, got his start singing in choirs as a teenager. He then went on to front numerous bands and write, record and perform his own music. He relocated to Port Townsend in 2015, after falling in love with the music/arts rich community and maritime history. Quimper's Watch has reignited his passion for multi-part harmony singing and the opportunity to learn and carry on the history and tradition of maritime music.
