Introduction

Storytelling is a new seam of creativity that I have been mining over the last few years.

It began with my song performances. I felt that audiences deserved a little background to some of the songs I sing; very often the meaning of a song is not obvious.

So, I started introducing songs with background information. And eventually I started telling "stories" that seemed to fit the lyrics, whether real or imagined.

And then I thought, "why not write some stories from scratch?".

What you see here are examples of my early scribblings; stumbling through this new medium of words.

I have been invited to tell my stories at various storytelling events, and seem to have turned the tables, as it were, by choosing songs that fit my stories, rather than  the other way round.
